ROUTINE SERVICING

The bread and butter stuff. Engine, generator and system servicing. This includes petrol and diesel inboard engines, outboard engines, generators and stern drives, and covers everything from annual oil changes to full major services. New Life Marine have specialised outdrive removal and installation tools, and many of the manufacturers special tools to enable Ross to service most makes and types of engines and propulsion systems.

DIAGNOSTICS AND REPAIR

Boats are complex machines that operate in a harsh environment, and unfortunately, they break. Ross has vast experience in tracking down and diagnosing most breakdowns, be it electrical or mechanical. 

New Life Marine own and operate a Rinda Diacom engine diagnostic system, and are able to connect to many modern petrol engine and some diesel engine ECU's (including Mercruiser and Volvo Penta, and many of the larger outboards) to perform diagnostic and repair processes. A full diagnostic check is included free of charge with every engine service, assuming compatibility with the Diacom system.

INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING

 New Life Marine are also able to install and commission new equipment, from full generator installs to replacing older electronics with the latest kit. This includes diesel heating systems, inverters, all marine electronics, outboard engines and anything else you can think of!

GUARDIANAGE

Guardianage is a whole package boat care scheme, where New Life will undertake to care of all aspects of maintenance and boat care for you. We will develop a plan suitable to you and your usage, where we can take care of all the oily bits, cleaning, polishing, routine repairs and even visit your boat at regular intervals throughout the year in your absence to keep an eye her - adjusting lines, checking canopies and advising of any issues that may be found. This can be particularly useful during periods of very bad weather, when we can visit after or even during a storm to give you peace of mind.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

New Life Marine are happy to project manage, be involved in or supply services or labour in bigger, more complex engineering projects. A  example is the resurrection of a boat that sank and was  refitted and repaired to an as new factory standard. Ross worked with a project manager,  another engineer, a canopy maker and an interior specialist to undertake the complete overhaul of every aspect of this vessel.

PRE-PURCHASE ASSESSMENTS AND REMOTE VIEWING

Buying a new boat is an exciting, emotional and potentially nerve wracking experience. With the legalities, negotiations and complexities, sometimes it can be difficult to make an objective assessment of the prospective purchase. Allow Ross to make an unbiased inspection and prepare a detailed report on the mechanical and electrical condition of the vessel. Reports include comprehensive costings of any defects found, or recommendations of work required to bring the vessel up to the purchasers required standard. Whilst we won't offer a valuation of the vessel, the detail contained in the report will give you solid ground to make a revised offer if potential problems are found (and, let's be honest, every boat afloat has something wrong with it!)

With Corfu being a seasonal island, and frequently not the residence of the purchaser, it can be quite a costly endeavour to travel out and view a potential purchase. Ross offers the convenience of having an independent remote viewing of the boat carried out on your behalf. This differs from the pre-purchase assessment in that it is a viewing, rather than assessment of the vessel, and will be carried out to your requirements - this includes as many videos or photos as you would like. This viewing can of course be combined with a pre-purchase assessment.
